Västerbotten (Swedish: [²vɛsːtɛrˌbɔtːɛn]), known in English as West Bothnia or Westrobothnia, is a province (landskap) in the north of Sweden, bordering Ångermanland, Lapland, North Bothnia, and the Gulf of Bothnia. It is known for the cheese named after the province.
