The settlement is the name of the administrative-territorial unit and the type of municipality in the city of Moscow , which were formed on July 1, 2012 in the territories included in Moscow from the Moscow region during the project to expand the borders of Moscow .
Administrative unit[]
According to the new version of the law “On the territorial division of Moscow” (entered into force on July 1, 2012), in the administrative plan, Moscow is divided into administrative districts , which in turn are divided into districts and settlements. At the same time, settlements were formed on the lands included in Moscow in accordance with the Agreement on changing the border between the subjects of the Russian Federation by the city of Moscow and the Moscow Region of November 29, 2011.
